【Reader's Response】
I think the story was ended quite suddenly, but I somewhat like the style. It was like the author left an ending with unclear meanings to let readers think about it. First, in my opinion, in the final page Willy and Hugh opened their arms symbolize they accept the differences between them and their different personalities. Second, Hugh's red vest turned into the one with similar patterns to Willy's, I think the change reveals that Willy and Hugh became a team. Just like a saying goes, "Birds of a feather flock together." and they are like, "Monkeys of a vest flock together. " In a nutshell, this book is a little amusing and thought-provoking for me, and I think children will like the close-up pictures in this book just like I do!
